Softball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Wade Hampton Generals, falling 13-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 on March 7th.

Eastside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Moyse, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Another was Kayden Vinson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-2. As for Wade Hampton, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Eastside will face off against rival Dorman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wade Hampton is set to challenge their familiar foe Gaffney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
