Northwestern came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Emmanuel Christian Academy, but Mya Lawrence wouldn't allow it. The Emmanuel Christian Academy Lions came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northwestern Warriors on Monday, sneaking past 46-43 thanks in part to Lawrence, who went 9 of 19 on her way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Another player making a difference was Macey Hudson, who posted five points in addition to six blocks and five rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last four times she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Northwestern lost, don't look at Lilly Bushey. Despite the final result, she went 7 for 14 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Evelyn Errett was another key player, putting up three points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Emmanuel Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Northwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Emmanuel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-21 defeat against Kenton Ridge on the 29th. As for Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-11 win against Northeastern on the 29th.
