Basketball Recap: Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees vs. Nordonia Knights

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Nordonia with points to spare, taking the game 69-55. Given Brecksville-Broadview Heights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Knights are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Adelyn Rahe out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Rahe scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Maya Woods, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Nordonia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brecksville-Broadview Heights will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mayfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Nordonia, they will be playing at home against the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Streetsboro is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
