Soccer Recap: Houston Falls Short Against Ranked Soldotna

Houston faced Soldotna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hawks fell just short of the Stars by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Soldotna this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Saturday.

Houston has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-3 record this season. As for Soldotna, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4-1.

Looking ahead, Houston will head out to take on Nikiski at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Houston are facing Nikiski at the right time seeing as Nikiski are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Soldotna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
