It was a proper cat-fight when Excelsior Springs took on Raytown South on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Cardinals. Considering the Tigers have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Excelsior Springs pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Raytown South, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coming up, Excelsior Springs will take on Smithville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Raytown South, they will welcome Van Horn at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
