Morrill hasn't had much luck against Bridgeport recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Morrill Lions will face off against the Bridgeport Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m.

Morrill is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-39 heartbreaker at the hands of Hemingford.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Wyler Fisher, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. That was a full 41% of Morrill's points, marking the third time in a row Fisher has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashwin Pittman, who put up eight points along with seven blocks and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bridgeport). They blew past Gordon-Rushville 76-31 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Morrill better focus on containing Gage Nein and Zach Lussetto as the pair were huge in Bridgeport's win. Nein went 7-for-11 en route to 19 points in addition to five assists and five steals, while Lussetto went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Lussetto a new career-high. Braiden Jimenez also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Bridgeport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gordon-Rushville only pulled down one offensive board.

Bridgeport pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points over those games. As for Morrill, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
