It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lamar can now relate to. They fell 4-1 to the Pearce Mustangs on Friday. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Lamar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Quesada, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16-3. As for Pearce, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-16-1 record this season.

While Lamar had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
