League recap: Sub-par week lands Elko outside of Nevada's top 25

IA/III Ruby Mountain league recap: 5/22/13

With a rough week, Elko dropped out of the state's top 25 rankings. Elko fell from No. 20 to No. 29 after going 1-2 over the past week. The Indians are ranked No. 4,195 in the nation, and have an overall record of 29-5.

Cody Kerns was the best pitcher in IA/III Ruby Mountain this week, leading the Indians. He picked up one win and six strikeouts.

Elko's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 32 hits and 15 walks to lead the league in both categories.

There were five hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. Leading the pack was Derek Ridgway, who hit .500 by going 4-for-8.



Tommy Headley and Zack Armstrong hit home runs this week.
