Recap: Downers Grove North Trojans vs. York Dukes
The Downers Grove North Trojans had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 32-31 victory over York. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Downers Grove North has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Downers Grove North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Campbell Thulin, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Kaitlyn Parker was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Downers Grove North pushed their record up to 12-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for York, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-4.
Downers Grove North and Jacobs will round out the year against one another at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at. Jacobs has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. York will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Plainfield Central at 9:45 a.m. on December 26th. Plainfield Central has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21.
