Volleyball Recap: Mendota Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mendota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Winnebago Indians. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mariyah Elam paced Mendota's offense, picking up nine kills. Elam got some help from Eva Beetz and her nine assists. Finally, Elam was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Mendota's defeat dropped their record down to 5-25. As for Winnebago, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-17-1.

Coincidentally, Mendota and Winnebago will both be playing Forreston the next time they take the court. The Trojans will host the Cardinals at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
