Douglas waltzed into their contest on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Oakland Oakers. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Douglas pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Oakland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Coming up, Douglas will look to defend their home field on Friday against Siuslaw at 3:00 p.m. As for Oakland, they will take on Umpqua Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
