Toledo Christian proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Edon Bombers 12-10. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won five contests in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kaid Hundley, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Connor Egbert was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Toledo Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 10.6.

Toledo Christian pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Edon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
