Softball Recap: Berkner Takes a Loss

Berkner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 22-1 to the Richardson Eagles. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Berkner saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kinley Akeman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base marked the first that Akeman snagged this season.

Berkner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Richardson, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.

While Berkner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
