Math Science & Engineering entered their game against Stuyvesant on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Math Science & Engineering fell just short of Stuyvesant by a score of 6-4.

Liana Weissman was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Math Science & Engineering got a big performance out of Annalie Merkel, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Meanwhile, Stuyvesant will take on Irving at 3:45 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (22 vs. 415).
