Basketball Recap: National Trail Comes Up Short

National Trail suffered their closest defeat since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Newton Local Indians by a score of 41-38. The Blazers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

National Trail's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Newton Local, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. National Trail and Talawanda will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. National Trail is facing Talawanda at the right time seeing as Talawanda is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
