Basketball Recap: Berean Christian Takes a Loss

Berean Christian suffered their biggest defeat since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 94-50 loss at the hands of the Grace Christian Academy Rams. While losing is never fun, Berean Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Grace Christian Academy is ranked 152nd).

Despite the loss, Berean Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Hayden Scarborough went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kaden Duncan, who posted seven points and six assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Berean Christian and nudges their season record down to 9-12. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season.

Berean Christian will be playing at home against Knoxville A at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian Academy has already played their next contest (against Lakeway Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
