Softball Recap: Wilcox RVT Takes a Loss

Wilcox RVT lost to Norwich RVT back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indian came up short against the Warriors, falling 15-4. The Indian have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sam Olechowski and Mackenzie Gaj did some serious damage despite the final result: Olechowski went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Gaj went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Gabby Velez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Wilcox RVT's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Norwich RVT, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilcox RVT will host Platt Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norwich RVT, they will face off against Windham RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mighty Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
