Baseball Game Preview: Van Alstyne Panthers vs. Sanger Indians

For the second straight game, Van Alstyne will face off against Sanger. The Panthers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Van Alstyne's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Sanger's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Van Alstyne is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Sanger on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Indians.

Van Alstyne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Bietz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Graham Haynes also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Van Alstyne's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Sanger, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
