With a playoff win on the line, Neshannock rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers 7-1. The win was just business as usual for the Lancers, who after 22 games remain undefeated this season.

Addy Frye spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gabby Quinn, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Neshannock's victory bumped their record up to 22-0. As for Chartiers-Houston, they moved to 20-2 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Neshannock will face off against Sharpsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. Chartiers-Houston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
