Softball Recap: Floresville Tigers/Jaguars vs. La Vernia Bears
Floresville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the La Vernia Bears. The Tigers/Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Jocey Fehse was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Cardenas, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Coming up, Floresville will square off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for La Vernia, they will head out on the road to square off against Pieper at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. La Vernia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
