After flying high against Archbishop Williams on Friday, Newton South came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Boston English Eagles by a score of 7-5 on Sunday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Newton South's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Boston English, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
