The Norwell Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Adams Central Flying Jets at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Norwell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Norwell will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against New Haven on Tuesday. The Knights blew past the Bulldogs 10-2. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Cayden Cassel made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five matches. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Drew Graft was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Cotton, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Norwell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Adams Central fell victim to Bluffton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Flying Jets in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.
Adams Central's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-7. As for Norwell, their record is now 10-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Norwell has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Adams Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Norwell's way against Adams Central when the teams last played back in May of 2021, as Norwell made off with a 12-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
