Basketball Recap: Thunderridge's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

ThunderRidge entered their tilt with Cherry Creek on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 68-56 win over the Cherry Creek Bruins. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Bruins are ranked 105th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading ThunderRidge to victory were Drew Paine and Blake Cremeen. Paine almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds, while Cremeen went 6 of 7 from beyond the arc on his way to 19 points. Cremeen is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kael Carney, who posted nine points.

Several Bruins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Hammond, who put up 16 points. Dylan Betts was another key player, putting up seven points along with seven boards and six blocks.

ThunderRidge's record is now 8-2. As for Cherry Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

ThunderRidge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-60 victory against Overland on the 10th. As for Cherry Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-68 loss against Vista PEAK Prep on the 7th.
