Crestview is a perfect 10-0 against Western Reserve since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Roughriders at 5:00 p.m. This will be Crestview's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

On Friday, Crestview didn't have quite enough to beat Hillsdale and fell 5-4. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Mansfield Christian 10-0. Considering the Roughriders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Claire Kinney, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Eliza Stewart also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

The win got Western Reserve back to even at 2-2. As for Crestview, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything went Crestview's way against Western Reserve in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Crestview made off with a 15-1 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Roughriders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
