Basketball Recap: St. Michael's Finds Playoff Glory Versus Concordia Lutheran

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Michael had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 102-66 victory over the Concordia Lutheran Crusaders. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 21 points or more this season.

St. Michael's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Disu, who en route to 15 points and eight boards. Disu's big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Jake Broxterman was another key player, to rack up 19 points.

St. Michael's smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 31 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Loukas Naum and Ryan Neidigk certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Naum on his way to 22 points and six rebounds, while Neidigk en route to 15 points. That's the most points Naum has posted since back in December of 2024.

St. Michael's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.4 points over those games. As for Concordia Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-26 record this season.

St. Michael's wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-33 win against TMI-Episcopal on the 22nd. Concordia Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
