Buffalo Storylines

* Just 25 years old, Barnwell takes over for former Sunrise coach Kyle Lindstead, who moved on to take a position under Greg Marshall at Wichita State. Barnwell is a native of Kansas who played collegiately for Newman University.

* The Buffaloes picked up a pair of big time late additions this fall. McGusty – a Top 50 prospect according to 247Sports – left Seven Lakes (Katy, Texas) in late October to enroll at Sunrise. Just a few days earlier, Waters announced he was leaving Norman North (Okla.) to spend his senior year with the Buffaloes. Waters is the No. 115 overall prospect in the 2016 class by 247Sports.

* Sunrise Christian has a growing list of former players at the NCAA level. Marvin Clark (Michigan State), Buddy Hield (Oklahoma), Tum Tum Nairn (Michigan State), Sebastian Saiz (Mississippi) and Dusan Ristic (Arizona) are all former Buffaloes.
