Athens entered their tilt with Riverton on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Hawks. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Athens had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Lydia Hart paced Athens' offense, picking up 20 kills. Hart got some help from Arabelle Cunningham and her 34 assists. Cunningham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Athens' win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Riverton, they dropped their record down to 16-11 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Athens didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Olympia on the 14th. As for Riverton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Midwest Central on the 11th.
