Football Game Preview: New Holstein Huskies vs. Kiel Raiders

New Holstein is 1-8 against Kiel since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Huskies will face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

New Holstein proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 21) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Brillion 17-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Huskies have posted since September 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kiel). They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 victory over Chilton on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

New Holstein's record now sits at 5-2. As for Kiel, their record is now 3-4.

New Holstein took a serious blow against Kiel when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 35-0. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
