Marian won the last time they faced Papillion-LaVista and things went their way on Saturday too. The Crusaders walked away with a 2-0 win over the Monarchs.

Taylor McLeay paced Marian's offense, picking up seven kills. McLeay got some help from Addy Janke and her 22 assists. Janke was also a major player on defense: she and she shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with two each.

Papillion-LaVista's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Elsie Ryan, who had 12 digs and three assists, and Lilly Brewer, who had four digs.

Marian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Papillion-LaVista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Marian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Papillion-LaVista South on the 23rd. As for Papillion-LaVista, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Elkhorn South on the 22nd.
