Football Game Preview: North Clayton Eagles vs. Cedar Grove Saints + Official Tickets

The North Clayton Eagles will head out to challenge the Cedar Grove Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Clayton has four straight wins, Cedar Grove has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

North Clayton will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Luella, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Eagles came out on top against the Lions by a score of 45-38 on Friday. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Cedar Grove took a blow against Stephenson on Friday, falling 50-18. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Jaguars are ranked 93rd).

Cedar Grove now has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Clayton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Things could have been worse for North Clayton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-35 loss to Cedar Grove when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
