Softball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Central York's Winning Streak

After a string of eight wins, Central York's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 6-1 to the Cumberland Valley Eagles. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Central York saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Lamer, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Central York's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Cumberland Valley, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central York will host Northern Lebanon at 4:15 p.m. on the 24th. As for Cumberland Valley, they will be playing at home against Chambersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
