Basketball Game Preview: Seton Saints vs. Ross Rams

The Seton Saints will take on the Ross Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Seton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Seton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: West Clermont, who was ranked eighth at the time (Seton was ranked 15th). The Saints took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves on Saturday. The Saints' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Seton got top-tier performance from Lauren Bain, who almost dropped a double-double with 31 points and nine boards. Bain is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aubri Korfhagen, who shot 50% from the field en route to 16 points.

Meanwhile, Ross came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 44-39 win over Franklin on Thursday.

Seton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Ross, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Seton came up short against Ross when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 34-21. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
