Soccer Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Highlands was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of the Lanier Voks by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for Highlands seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.

Highlands' loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-9-3. As for Lanier, their win bumped their record up to 14-4-3.

Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Jefferson on the 3rd. As for Lanier, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Burbank on the 3rd.
