They claimed a resounding 73-0 win over Mount View at home. The result was nothing new for Clay County, who have now won six games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Noah Collins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 190 yards and five touchdowns. Collins is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bj Williams, who picked up 94 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Clay County's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 51 points. As for Mount View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.
Clay County will head out on the road to face off against Summers County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Summers County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last. As for Mount View, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against WestSide at 7:30 p.m. WestSide is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
