Baseball Game Preview: Lake Marion Gators vs. Lee Central Stallions

Lake Marion is a perfect 4-0 against Lee Central since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lake Marion Gators will welcome the Lee Central Stallions at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lake Marion is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 20-3 to Hampton County.

Meanwhile, Lee Central has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against Lewisville, falling 15-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Stallions were not able to get on the board.

With the loss, Lee Central broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. As for Lake Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lake Marion came out on top in a nail-biter against Lee Central when the teams last played back in April of 2016, sneaking past 6-5. Will Lake Marion repeat their success, or does Lee Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
