Softball Recap: Merrillville Falls Short of Portage in the Playoffs

Merrillville and Portage squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Merrillville had to settle for second. They lost 14-0 to the Indians. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-1 defeat back in April.

Merrillville's loss dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Portage, their record is now 10-18.

Merrillville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Portage, they will challenge Hobart at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Brickies will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
