Soccer Recap: Purvis Triumphs

Purvis was handed a seven-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wayne County War EaglesLady War Eagles, sneaking past 4-3. The score was all tied up 2-2 at the break, but Purvis were the better team in the second half.

With the victory, Purvis broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-7-1. As for Wayne County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Purvis will face off against rival Vancleave at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Wayne County is set to square off against their familiar foe Northeast Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
