West Bend West entered their tilt with Nicolet on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with an 85-78 victory over the Nicolet Knights. The win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Knights are ranked 12th).

When it comes to explaining why Nicolet lost, don't look at David Bolden. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. Bolden's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Rashaad Davis was another key player, going 8 for 17 en route to 20 points.

West Bend West pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Nicolet, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-3.

West Bend West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-53 win against West Allis Hale on the 25th. Nicolet has also already played their next contest, a 73-64 victory against Hartford on the 28th.
