McKinney North faced Allen in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Tinley Brubaker paced McKinney North's offense, picking up 11 kills. Brubaker got some help from Malia McNeal and her 17 assists. Finally, Chloe Lewis kept McKinney North's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Campbell Sheffield was the offensive standout of the game as she had 16 digs and three assists.

McKinney North's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Allen, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Looking ahead, McKinney North will head out on the road to challenge Lake Highlands at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allen, they will take on Frisco in a tournament on Monday.
