The Classical Saints and the Remington Broncos squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Classical Saints had to settle for second. They took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. The game was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but Classical couldn't quite close it out.
Classical lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Daniel Young, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tait Sinclair, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Classical struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Remington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-9.
Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Remington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-32 loss vs. Conway Springs on the 2nd.
