Marshfield and Malden Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Marshfield had to settle for second. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The Rams' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Marshfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Malden Catholic, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Marshfield and Malden Catholic will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Rams see the field they'll take on Duxbury at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Malden Catholic, their break will end when they face St. John's at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
