Football Recap: Notre Dame's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Notre Dame suffered their closest defeat since October 18, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Merced Bears by a score of 14-12. The loss was the Regents' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Notre Dame fell to 5-1. As for Merced, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Notre Dame has already played their next game (against King's Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Merced, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-26 win against Milpitas on the 13th.
