Granite Hills has gone 8-2 against West Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Wolf Pack at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Granite Hills' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Steele Canyon by a score of 5-0.

Steele Canyon's batters probably weren't too happy with Kaleigh Baugher, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (she gave up three walks). Baugher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Granite Hills got a massive performance out of Peyton Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylor Nash, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Hills). They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over Santana on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolf Pack as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Gianna Burgin and Ava Goodman made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Burgin struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, Goodman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Burgin went 3-for-4 with four RBI, while Goodman went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave Goodman a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kristina Deal, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Haylee Kai was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

West Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santana only posted an OBP of .364.

Granite Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-11-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Hills, their win bumped their record up to 11-7-1.
