Baseball Recap: Keystone Heights Comes Up Short

Keystone Heights came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Oakleaf Knights by a score of 7-5 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since March 11th.

Cason Burton was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Trull, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Keystone Heights and nudges their season record down to 7-15. As for Oakleaf, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-13.

As for Oakleaf, they will be playing in front of their home fans against University Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
