Basketball Recap: Southern Christian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Southern Christian entered their tilt with Southern Prep Academy on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They secured a 55-49 W over the Southern Prep Academy Fighting Rangers. For the Patriots, this counts as revenge for the 63-54 win the Fighting Rangers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Leading Southern Christian to victory were Cole Johnson and Jedd Scott. Johnson shot 4-for-6 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards, while Scott went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. That's the most assists Scott has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Decker, who posted six points and three steals.

The victory got Southern Christian back to even at 9-9. As for Southern Prep Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Southern Christian will take on Tuscaloosa Home Educators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southern Christian is facing Tuscaloosa Home Educators at the right time seeing as Tuscaloosa Home Educators is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Southern Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
