Corner Canyon took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 45-0 win over the Bingham Miners. The Chargers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight dating back to last season.

Corner Canyon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Helaman Casuga led the charge by throwing for 284 yards and two TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. Weston Briggs handled things on the ground, rushing for 151 yards.

Corner Canyon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 248 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 248 rushing yards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Corner Canyon is taking a road trip to face off against West Broward at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bingham, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Alta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
