Harper Creek came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Northwest Mounties as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Beavers this season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Harper Creek took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-7, 25-15.

Harper Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Jacob, who had six digs and two aces. Those six digs gave Jacob a new career-high. Jessa Akers also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Harper Creek was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive games.

Harper Creek's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Northwest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7-2.

Coincidentally, Harper Creek and Northwest will both be playing Hastings the next time they take the court. The Beavers will head out to face the Saxons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mounties will host them at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th.
