C.A. Johnson won the last time they faced Lamar and things went their way on Friday too. The C.A. Johnson Hornets took down the Lamar Silver Foxes 59-45.

C.A. Johnson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Milton McCray, who went 5 for 9 to rack up 17 points and six rebounds. Tony Odom was another key player, going 8 of 19 en route to 21 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Lamar saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lamont Williams dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of NyShaun 'Shaun' Quillen, who posted 11 points.

C.A. Johnson is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points over those games. As for Lamar, their record is now 9-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. C.A. Johnson will take on Governor's School for Science & Math at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. C.A. As for Lamar, they will face off against Great Falls at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Falls knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Lamar likes a good challenge.
