Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Carly Stayskal and Mollie Colasacco Lead Pinecrest to Victory

Pinecrest won the last time they faced Richmond Senior and Aubrey Taylor did her part to make sure it happened again. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Raiders on Thursday thanks in part to Taylor, who had 20 digs and six aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Pinecrest got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-18, 31-29, 25-17.

Leading Pinecrest to victory were Mollie Colasacco and Carly Stayskal. Colasacco had ten digs, while Stayskal had seven digs and five kills.

Pinecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richmond Senior only served nine.

Pinecrest is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for Richmond Senior, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest will host Cape Fear at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Richmond Senior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
