Football Game Preview: Schenectady Patriots vs. Shaker Bison

Schenectady hasn't had much luck against Shaker recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Bison at 7:00 p.m. Schenectady has given up an average of 47.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Schenectady's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Colonie Central on Friday. They were outmatched by the Wolfpack and fell 66-0. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 108th).

Shaker had taken Shenendehowa down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Bison came up short against the Plainsmen, falling 40-14. The game marked the Bison's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Schenectady's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Shaker, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Schenectady was taken down by Shaker 56-6 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Patriots were down 35-6.
